  • 6 apples
  • ½ tsp grated nutmeg
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup porridge oats
  • 125 g butter (cold or melted)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180C/375F.
  2. Peel, core, and chop the apples into bite-sized pieces. Place them in a baking pan and mix with flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  3. In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cold butter, and salt until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apple mixture.
  5. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving warm.
