  • 1 small head of cabbage
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ cup shredded cheese
  • 1 egg (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cut the cabbage into thick slices, brush both sides with olive oil, and arrange on the baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, mix ground beef (or turkey), onion, garlic, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and egg until well combined.
  4. Press the meat mixture onto each cabbage slice to form patties.
  5. Bake for about 25 minutes; then sprinkle cheese on top and broil for an additional 3-5 minutes until melted.
  6. Serve with fresh parsley and your favorite dipping sauces.
