  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until softened (about 5 minutes). Stir in minced garlic and red pepper flakes if using.
  2. Add orzo pasta to the skillet and toast for 1-2 minutes while stirring. If using, add white apple vinegar and allow it to simmer briefly.
