  • 2 cups uncooked macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, diced onion, breadcrumbs, egg, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined. Press this mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Bake the meatloaf for 20 minutes.
  4. Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain.
  5. In a saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour until bubbly. Gradually whisk in milk until thickened; add seasoning and stir in 1½ cups cheese until melted.
  6. Fold the cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce and pour over the meatloaf. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  7. Bake for an additional 25 minutes until bubbly.
