  • 1 cup (109 g) finely chopped pecans

  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter and sugar, stirring constantly until the mixture reaches 285°F (135°C). This should take about 35-45 minutes.
  3. Once done, pour the hot mixture onto the baking sheet. Let it sit for 1-2 minutes before sprinkling chocolate chips over the top.
  4. Spread the melted chocolate evenly and sprinkle finely chopped pecans on top, gently pressing them into the chocolate.
  5. Allow the toffee to set at room temperature for about an hour before breaking it into pieces.
