Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 teaspoon salt (for boiling water)

Instructions

  1. Season thinly sliced chicken with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. Boil linguine in salted water until al dente; reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and parsley.
  5. Toss cooked linguine in the sauce along with reserved pasta water to achieve desired consistency. Add sliced chicken back to the pan and mix well.
  6. Serve warm with extra parsley as garnish.
