  • 4 medium apples (peeled, cored, and chopped)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (plus 1 teaspoon)
  • 1 package refrigerated cinnamon rolls with frosting

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine apple pie filling, chopped apples, sugar, butter, cinnamon, and water. Cook until bubbly.
  2. Add cornstarch and stir well; if needed, add more water to thicken.
  3. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Grease a pie dish and lay half the cinnamon rolls at the bottom as a crust. Pour in the warm apple filling evenly. Top with remaining rolls.
  5. Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Drizzle with frosting while warm.
