  • 1/2 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
  • 1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions (divided)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (divided)
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp Ranch seasoning (to taste)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 1/4 tsp poppy seeds (divided)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together three-quarters of the chopped cooked bacon with cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheeses, green onions, walnuts, Ranch seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, and poppy seeds until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into a ball shape.
  3. For the topping, combine reserved bacon with additional cheddar cheese, green onion, walnuts, and poppy seeds on a cutting board. Roll the cheese ball in this mixture for an even coating.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.
