Scale
  • 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (for coating)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apple filling: Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon; cook until softened (4-5 minutes). Combine cornstarch and water, then stir into the apple mixture and cook until thickened (1-2 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Flatten each biscuit into a circle about 1/4-inch thick.
  3. Assemble: Spoon about a tablespoon of apple filling onto each biscuit, fold edges over to seal tightly.
  4. Coat: Dip each ball in melted butter, then roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
